Zenz designed and built everything up from the gutted shell of the Clapham premises. Finnish birch ply was used extensively throughout, along with much waxed steel. The progenitor, a small pizzeria in Brixton Market was refitted in a development of the style a few years later, introducing custom-formed plywood and cast aluminium elements. Then in 2008, a new Eco opened in Chiswick, London.
